Hey Ladies,

Do you want to master the push-up?  No more push-ups from your knees?
The first step is to build a strong core.

Start with holding a plank position on your elbows for 15sec and work up to 1 min.
Once you feel good there, move up to a push-up postition and hold.

Next, work incline push-ups.  Find a bench about 2-3ft high, and complete 3 sets of 8 push-ups.  If that is too difficult find a higher surface... maybe your kitchen counter or even standing up pushing against a wall.

Once you have mastered these steps, drop to the ground and try a full push-up.  Only go part way at first if that is where you are comfortable.  Then, drop to the ground and work on pushing up from this position.  Even if you are unable to lift your upper body off the ground you are still working your muscles and if you're patient, it will come.

One more great drill is an up-down plank.  This exericse is great for the entire body and will make you long, lean and strong.  Aim for 3 sets of 10 (on each side).  You can find a video at the following link...

If you start with the first two exercises and do them 4x a week, you will be a push-up pro in no time!
You got this!  Be Real FIT!!
